Postmates is a beautiful iOS app that is extremely simple to use. You can order items for delivery in 1 of 3 ways:

1. Select a store from featured places on the home screen.
2. Search for a specific store in the search bar under the nearby tab.
3. Browse stores near your current location under the nearby tab.

Once you've chosen a store, select the items you'd like to have delivered. If there is a menu, you can simply check off the items you want. And if there's no menu, you can write a shopping list.

Postmates currently supports deliveries from 8:00am - midnight, 7 days a week. That's 16 hours a day!

Postmates is currently available in San Francisco and Seattle but will be expanding to new cities very soon.

If it's an item in a store or restaurant in your city, we can deliver it. Get pizza from Little Star, donuts from Bob's Donuts, a new coat from Nordstrom, a picture frame from Crate & Barrel, you name it.

We call our couriers, Postmates. Postmates are personally trained by our team to complete deliveries in your city. When your delivery is accepted, you are immediately introduced to your Postmate with a photo, details on how many deliveries they have made and their current rating.

Contrary to our awesome logo, Postmates are actually on bikes, in cars, on scooters, and in trucks.

Delivery fees starting from $5.99 and are determined by an algorithm that accounts for the distance, time required and effort involved in the delivery. For more details, read about our dynamic pricing model.

Deliveries are immediately assigned to the best possible Postmate. There is no "waiting" or "bidding" process. Our algorithm accounts for several different factors such as vehicle type, rating and more, to determine which Postmate is best suited for your job.

You cannot request a specific Postmate at this time. We will always dispatch the best Postmate for the job, ensuring your delivery arrives as quickly as possible.

You can call or text your Postmate at any point during your delivery, directly from the app.

If you have not placed your order yet, you can edit the drop-off directly from the check-out page. Click the “deliver to” box and you'll be prompted to enter a new drop-off address.

If you've already placed your order and need to change the pick-up and/or drop-off, you can call your Postmate directly from the app. He/she will notify HQ so that we can adjust the delivery price if necessary.

Call your Postmate as soon as you realize you need to change the order. Depending on when the changes are requested, your delivery may take longer than the allotted 1 hour.

Tip is not required. 100% goes to your Postmate for their effort on the delivery. If you would like to leave a tip, you are given the opportunity to add 5%, 10%, 15% or 20% of the order to your total on the check-out screen before you sign your name.

No. Tips are only accepted through the app during check-out.

Postmates are interviewed in-person and put through several rounds of test deliveries before being given their own delivery jobs.

If your delivery takes longer than 1 hour, we will e-mail or call you to follow-up. If it's late due to our own error, we may refund the delivery cost.

Yes, you can. It's a beautiful thing.

We can only deliver a purchase from Craigslist if you have already paid the seller or If the person you are purchasing from will accept a credit card. We will not pay cash for an item off Craigslist and we cannot pick up cash from you and then retrieve the item.
