To honor the first day of Black History month, the healthcare workers at AdventHealth Carrollwood received 150 meals from The Weeknd, delivered by Postmates, to recognize and reward their tireless efforts to save lives and keep their community safe.
The Weeknd chose a local Tampa Bay Black-owned restaurant, Mama’s Southern Soul Food, and ordered delicious plates of baked chicken, yams, and other favorites, to fuel the doctors and nurses that are fighting on the front lines of this pandemic.
In addition, Postmates is highlighting a collection of Black-owned restaurants across the nation called The Weeknd’s Picks which you can find at the top of the Postmates app.
Join us in supporting your favorite neighborhood restaurants during this difficult time—especially if you plan to watch the big game. (We know you’ll be hungry.)
While we can’t fill the stadiums to watch our favorite teams play, we can still shout for that first (or last) touchdown, together, from the comfort and safety of home.
