Faces of Fleet — Meet Mama Char
Professional dancer, actor, best selling author, and Postmate, proving that age is just a three-letter word. Meet Mama Char.
Mama Char is a vivacious, bold, and brave force. Based out of Los Angeles, she lives life to the fullest and won’t let anything steal her sunshine or stop her from spreading sunshine to others. Self-described as Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday, Mama Char has the wisdom and life experience of a 68-year-old, and the energy, spirit, and zest for life of an 18-year-old. Mama Char believes that life is about making the right choices, having the right mindset and choosing happiness, love, and kindness.
Raised in turbulent foster homes with a childhood of instability and abuse, Mama Char went on to marry the love of her life and have two children of her own.
“I taught my children that you are no better than anyone, and you are as good as everyone.”
After her husband of 42 years passed away, Char relocated from Austin to Los Angeles with a bucket list in hand (curated by her late husband).
“I reinvented myself after the loss of my husband of 42 years. I mean, what is a 60-year young gal supposed to do with her life? So, I chose to write a book, or two, become a radio host, get certified as a Law of Attraction coach, and get certified as an Angel Card Reader.”
In her brief four years in Los Angeles, Mama Char has already been in a Katy Perry music video, nailed a Janet Jackson dance audition, and was featured in an Access Hollywood makeover. She also has an ongoing role in the American comedy series Young Sheldon, and completed nearly 4,000 Postmates deliveries, always with a smile. Mama Char is also currently working on her own movie inspired by her bucketlist, The Deadman’s Bucketlist.
“It’s not what happens in life, it’s how we handle things.”
