Waffle House Teams Up With Postmates to Help #GetWaffleHouseBackToGreen
Did you know that, in addition to making delicious waffles, Waffle House serves as an informal barometer of how well communities recover from disasters? It’s true — ever since the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency commented in 2011 on how he measured the severity of a natural disaster by how many Waffle House locations were still open, the Waffle House Index has been a real thing.
A few weeks ago, our friends at Waffle House declared #WaffleIndexRed with more than a fifth of Waffle Houses closed across the country due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Today, we’re happy to announce that Waffle House has chosen Postmates as the chain’s first delivery partner. In an effort to #GetWaffleHouseBacktoGreen, we’re offering free delivery through Monday from more than 800 Waffle House locations, when you use the code LOVEWAFFLES.
Waffle House has been serving you the best waffles since 1955, and now you can have many of your Waffle House favorites in the comfort of your home, whenever you need it. Postmates can deliver their limited menu, which includes fresh waffles and the All-Star Breakfast straight from the source!
“We are proud to partner with Postmates to help our customers enjoy the delicious taste of Waffle House at home — and hopefully, to get the Waffle House Index back to green. In a collaborative effort, we were able to work with Postmates to quickly implement a delivery solution that worked well for both of us without causing a disruption to our restaurant operations. We have already rolled out delivery from over 800 Waffle House locations and are looking to add new markets every day,” said Greg Rollings, VP of Marketing for Waffle House, Inc.
