Directions

1. in a medium saucepan, bring 2-1/2 cups of water to a boil. add contents of rice packet and 2 tablespoons of goya olive oil, corn oil or butter. stir. 2. boil for 1 minute, cover tightly, and reduce heat to low. cook for 3 minutes or until water is absorbed. 3. stir rice and serve. makes 5(1/2 cup) servings. some great goya ideas for dinner! creole red beans and rice. in a skillet or saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of goya olive oil. add 1 lb of smoked sausage, 1/2 cup each of onions and peppers and 2-3 cloves of garlic; saute 5-7 minutes or until nicely browned. add 2 cups water and 1 tablespoon creole seasoning, bring to a boil. add contents of rice packet, stir, cover tightly. reduce heat and simmer, cook 25 minutes, or until water is absorbed. sizzling steak: instead of the same steak with potatoes, why not try your favorite steak with sauteed onions and peppers alongside goya rice & red beans. your family will love this surprise!
