Keep frozen. bring 6 cups water to a boil in large saucepan. add content of 1 package (1 lb.) frozen, well-pac edamame and 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional). return to a boil. cover and cook 5 to 6 minutes. drain. serve, hot or cold, as an appetizer or snack. open pod; eat the beans inside and discard pod. or, add cooled, shelled beans to tossed green, bean or pasta salads, as desired.
