Keep frozen. thawing: refrigerator thawing: remove all packaging prior to thawing. place steaks in a bowl or tray. cover with plastic wrap or foil and thaw in refrigerator 8 to 10 hours or overnight. refresh fillets by lightly rinsing with cold water and pat dry with paper towels just prior to cooking. rapid thawing: leave product in vacuum packaging. place the vacuum packed seafood in a bowl or tray of cold water. place bowl or tray in sink and allow a small stream of cold running water to thaw the fillets for about 45 minutes. remove packaging; rise, pat dry. do not refreeze.
