Ingredients: Pinto Beans.
Sort and wash before cooking. quick method recipe: bring 1 quart water to rolling boil. slowly stir in 1 cup rinsed beans. do not let boiling stop. reduce heat, boil gently until beans are tender, 2 to 2-1/2 hours. add 1 teaspoon salt last 1/2 hour. add hot water as needed. if preferred, soak beans overnight and boil gently 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until tender.
